Our state-of-the-art facilities are open to all our students in the Department of Design, inviting you to explore your imagination and bring your designs to life. While our doors are wide open, we kindly ask you to contribute to the upkeep of our facilities by following some basic etiquette.
Consideration goes a long way in preserving the collaborative spirit that makes FabLab and our Studios exceptional.
Look for any garbage or empty containers that have been left in studios. Take a minute to remove garbage that may have been left behind in our shared spaces. Don’t forget to throw out scrap paper after cutting.
If you don’t know where something belongs, don’t hesitate to ask Rich, Loris, or one of our print monitors. It will help the next person and keep our spaces organized.
Feel free to hang out in our spaces, but be mindful that priority should given to those students using the equipment in the Fab Lab for completing projects.
Routinely save your digital work while you work on projects. All students have Google Drive so back up your work and back up often to prevent future headaches. For larger files, you may want to use a portable hard drive.
